What you need to know

  • Hourly Pay $17.61
  • Monday-Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Full Time (40 hours per week), Temporary (1-Month)
  • Located in East Mesa
  • Benefits Available – Medical, Dental, Vision, Term Life, Short-Term Disability

What you’ll be doing

Duties include performing tasks in the transport, assembly, and disassembly of modular furniture and other related services in City facilities. Work includes reconfiguring and moving components including bulky wall panels, heavy work surfaces, and other components and organizing and inventorying modular furniture pieces and parts.

You will be responsible for…

  • Reading plans and building modular workspaces as assigned.
  • Consulting with the Space Planner for direction and clarification.
  • Communicating with vendors and City staff for details needed to assemble workstations.
  • Driving to worksites and storage facilities to transport modular furniture pieces.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What skills & experience you’ll bring to us

  • Graduation from high school or GED
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience performing manual labor and/or maintenance tasks
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and small power tools
  • Ability to assemble, disassemble and stage components
  • Must be able to stand and bend for long periods of time, move, load, unload and transport components up to 70 pounds from storage sites to worksite
  • Establish and maintain a safe workspace at worksite
  • Must possess a valid Class D Arizona Driver License
